Eating disorders are psychiatric disorders with the highest mortality rate of any mental illness. EDRC’s mission is “to create awareness, promote recovery, and advocate for treatment of eating disorders.” NAMI’s purpose–to end misconceptions about mental illness–aligns with our core values.
EDRC serves clients across the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond in order to support them through recovery and navigate the process of finding treatment. We do this through support groups, our broad-reaching treatment directory, and community resources such as our Ask The Experts series, where we bring in professionals to address topics related to eating disorders.
